Investigations underway following attempted robbery

Investigations are underway after a man was assaulted following an attempted robbery in Sydney’s west.

Police were told just before 1.45am (Monday 12 March 2018), two men attended a guest’s room at a hotel on Richmond Road at Glendenning.

The men produced what was believed to be a firearm and assaulted a male guest before leaving the scene.

The guest suffered a head injury but declined medical treatment.

Police from Mt Druitt Police Area Command were alerted to the incident and established a crime scene.

Initial investigations suggest the men were known to each other.
