Armed robbery – Ermington

Police are investigating after a man was robbed at knifepoint at Ermington.

About 11.30pm (Sunday 11 March 2018), a 24-year-old man got off a bus on Victoria Road and was walking south along Spurway Street.

As he crossed Jackson Road, he was approached by the driver of a white sedan.

The driver produced a knife and demanded the man’s wallet, mobile phone and backpack, to which he complied.

The man was able to run from the scene and contacted police a short time later.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and patrolled for the car and driver, but were unable to locate them.

Investigators would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist them.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his late 20s and was wearing black track pants and a black hooded jumper.
