Man arrested at Sydney Airport as investigations continue into shooting murder at Bankstown

A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the shooting murder of Ho Ledinh at Bankstown in January 2018.

Just after 3.35pm on Tuesday 23 January 2018, 65-year-old local solicitor, Ho Ledinh, was shot while sitting at a cafe at Bankstown City Plaza.

Despite the efforts of police, NSW Ambulance Paramedics, and members of the community, the Mr Ledinh died at the scene.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, and Bankstown detectives, established Strike Force Eugene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Just before 10am today (Tuesday 13 February 2018), a 38-year-old man was arrested by Strike Force Eugene investigators at Sydney International Airport as he boarded a plane for Bali.

He was taken to Mascot Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
