Investigation underway following fire – Bankstown

An investigation is underway following a unit fire at Bankstown.

Just after 1am (Sunday 21 January 2018), emergency services were called to South Terrace where they found a fire on the balcony of a unit.

The blaze was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW officers.

The occupants weren’t home at the time and no one was injured.

Officers from Bankstown Local Area Command attended and evacuated neighbouring units.

The cause of the fire is still to be determined and inquiries are continuing.
