Police are investigating a fire in the Northern Beaches during which a home sustained significant damage.
Just after 7.30am (Wednesday 10 January 2018), emergency services were called to a home well alight on Balgowlah Road, Fairlight.
Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze, but the house received significant damage as a result.
A 43-year-old woman and two girls, aged four and nine, escaped from the home and uninjured.
Northern Beaches Local Area Command officers will investigate the events leading up to the fire.
At this stage, there is no evidence to suggest it is suspicious; however, inquiries are continuing.
