Investigation underway following shooting

Police are investigating a shooting at Wentworthville.

About 1.45am (Sunday 7 January 2018), a man attended Wentworthville Police Station with gunshot wounds to his chest and hand.

He was taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

It’s believed the man was shot at a pizza restaurant on Dunmore Street, Wentworthville, before walking to the police station with another man.

Both men are employees of the restaurant.

Officers from Holroyd Local Area Command have established multiple crime scenes and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They’re appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
