People who are enrolled in the Division of Bennelong and will be away from home this Saturday (16 December 2017), must act now to vote before they leave.
The Australian Electoral Officer for New South Wales, Warwick Austin said it is important that Bennelong residents don’t forget about voting when organising their travel plans.
“If you live in Bennelong and you’re getting away early for holidays in 2017, make sure you vote,” Mr Austin said.
“Voting in the by-election is compulsory for every Bennelong elector and it is important to have your say in who will represent you in the House of Representatives.”
Early voting centres are available until Friday 15 December 2017.
For people who are already away from home, an early vote may also be cast at any AEC office elsewhere in NSW or interstate until 6pm on Friday, 15 December 2017.
On by-election day 16 December 2017, voting will only be available in polling places within the Division of Bennelong.
