Jennifer Hawkins has partnered with the Salvos to create a limited edition “Choose Hope” tote bag which will help support Aussies doing it tough this Christmas.

The limited edition tote, available in grey and pink, was designed by Jennifer and is available online and in selected Salvo Stores. The tote will also be used in Salvo centres over the festive season to pack hampers for those in need. All proceeds will go towards The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal.

“The ‘Choose Hope’ tote bag is all about spreading Hope through communities this Christmas. The Salvos team are filling the bags up with gifts and giving back to volunteers and families in need – it was an easy decision to get involved with such an amazing team!,” Jennifer says.

Jennifer has been busy in her support of the Salvos. In addition to designing the ‘Choose Hope’ tote bag, Jennifer spring-cleaned her wardrobe to raise funds for the Salvo’s vital social services. Jennifer says she is proud to be supporting The Salvation Army this Christmas.

“I’ve always been a huge supporter of The Salvation Army, they are a wonderful charity, so it was nice to come on board in an official capacity for our Spring Clean EBay store which raised over 11k (with all proceeds going directly to the Salvo’s),” Jennifer says.

“Now it’s Christmas time and spreading hope is incredibly important… particularly at Christmas! It is such a special event in my life, and I love the thought of making Christmas that extra little bit special for people in need.”

The Salvation Army’s Communications & Fundraising Director, Leigh Cleave, says the Salvos are thrilled to have Jennifer Hawkin’s support this Christmas.

“Christmas is one of the busiest times of the year for the Salvos with more than 300,000 families and individuals seeking assistance. We give out more than 500,000 gifts and toys, and serve over 10,000 meals to those who don’t have the means to celebrate Christmas,” Leigh says.

“The Salvos need the communities support more than ever, so we are grateful that Jennifer has come on board to lend us a hand. Her support will go a long way in helping The Salvation Army bring hope where it’s needed most this Christmas.”

The Salvation Army urges anyone in need of assistance this Christmas to reach out. For anyone who would like to donate The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal, a gift of $29 will allow the Salvos to put food on the table and presents under the tree for Aussies in need.
