Two men faced court after an alleged assault and break and enter in Sydney’s Eastern Beaches.
Police have been told a group of males approached a house on Benvue Street, Maroubra, about 11am Tuesday 28 November 2017, allegedly smashing a number of windows and forcing entry into the property.
The group were confronted by four men, who were inside the home at time, before a physical altercation began and a 19-year-old man was knocked unconscious.
The three remaining residents fled the scene and were chased by the group of males who were armed with knives. As the two groups approached a service station on Anzac Parade, Maroubra, a brawl began, before one of the groups fled the scene.
Two men, aged 20, were taken to St Vincents Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
This morning (Wednesday 6 December 2017), police from Eastern Beaches Local Area Command arrested two men, aged 19 and 25, near a Bonnet Bay address.
Both were charged with special aggravated break and enter to commit serious indictable offence and using an offensive weapon to commit a serious indictable offence. The 25-year-old was also charged with affray.
Both were refused bail before their court appearance at Sutherland Local Court. There, they were refused bail, to appear in Central Local Court on 14 December 2017.
