Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in Sydney’s north west.
Just after 4.15pm (Tuesday 5 December 2017), emergency services were called to the intersection of Peats Ferry Road and Bridge Road at Hornsby, after reports of a crash.
Initial inquires suggest a truck has struck a person who died at the scene.
Officers from Kuring Gai Local Area Command attended and with the assistance of the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances.
The truck driver is assisting police with their inquiries and has been taken to Hornsby Hospital to undergo mandatory testing.
No other details are known at this stage.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area with Peats Ferry Road closed, between Coronation and Mildred Streets with local traffic diversions in place.
