Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following the death of a teenager at Hornsby.
Just after 4.15pm (Tuesday 5 December 2017), emergency services were called to the intersection of Peats Ferry Road and Bridge Road at Hornsby, after a Kenworth tipper truck and dog has struck a teenage boy in a motorised wheelchair.
The 16-year-old boy died at the scene.
The truck driver, a 62-year-old man, was not injured and was taken to Hornsby Hospital where he underwent mandatory blood and urine testing.
Officers from Kuring Gai Local Area Command attended and with the assistance of the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
