Police from the St George Local Area Command are appealing for public assistance to identify a man who may be able to assist with inquiries in relation to two bag snatches in Allawah.
The incidents occurred between 11.30am and 2.20pm on Monday 13 November, 2017.
The first incident occurred at 11.30am, when a 26-year-old woman was walking on Illawarra Street when a man came up behind her and pulled the bag from her shoulder, causing her to fall to the ground.
The man fled from the scene empty handed, with the woman sustaining grazes to her left hand.
The second incident occurred about 2.20pm on Barsbys Avenue, when a 31-year-old woman was approached from behind and had her bag pulled from her arm. As a result she sustained soreness to her forearm.
Police from St George Local Area Command have commenced an investigation and have released images of a man who may be able to assist.
The man is described as being of Asian appearance, thin build and dressed in a black jacket with tan coloured pants.
