CCTV released following hotel theft

Police are appealing for assistance following a theft incident at Dulwich Hill.

About 6.50pm on Friday 20 October 2017, a man entered a hotel on Marrickville Road and sat in the bar area with a group of people.

A short time later, the man went over and accessed the staff area behind the bar.

He then took an amount of cash from behind the counter, walked back to the group and left the hotel after finishing his drink.

Police from Marrickville Local Area Command are investigating and would like to speak with a man shown in CCTV images who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance with a medium build, with short dark hair and a beard and moustache.

The man is depicted wearing a blue t-shirt, dark tracksuit pants and blue and white joggers.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Marrickville Police or Crime Stoppers.
