Police are investigating a house fire in Sydney’s west.
Just after 6am (Saturday 21 October 2017), emergency services were called to a fire at a home in Kenny Place, Fairfield West.
Fire & Rescue NSW extinguished the blaze; however, a front room was substantially damaged.
The occupants, a 40-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman, were treated for smoke inhalation.
The man was taken to Fairfield Hospital with a minor injury.
Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
The cause of the fire will be investigated. Initial inquiries suggest it is not suspicious.
