A woman has been taken to Liverpool Hospital after her car crashed through a barrier coming to rest beside railway tracks at Panania.
Emergency services were called to Carson Street shortly before 2pm (Monday 9 October 2017), when the sedan drove through the fence, continued down an embankment and hit a large tree.
The tree then fell onto the railway tracks.
The woman was assisted from the vehicle and did not appear to have sustained serious injuries; however, she was taken to Liverpool Hospital to be checked as a precaution as well as undergoing mandatory testing.
