Police investigate after teen injured

Police are investigating after a teenager was injured in Auburn.

About 5.30pm (Wednesday 4 October 2017), emergency services were called to Auburn Park, Hutchinson Street, Auburn, after reports of a brawl.

Police have been told a group of unknown persons confronted a 16-year-old boy during which the teen received severe lacerations to his arm and neck.

The group fled in three vehicles, possibly a silver Volkswagen Golf, a dark blue Volkswagen GTI and a blue Mazda 3.

The teen was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition where it is anticipated he will undergo surgery.

Officers attached to Flemington Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which will be forensically examined.
