Police investigate bag snatches in Sydney’s Inner West

Police are investigating two separate bag snatches across Sydney’s Inner West.

The first incident occurred about 8.35pm on Russell Street, Strathfield, as a 23-year-old woman was walking home from the train station.

A man ran up behind her and snatched her handbag before getting into a black SUV being driven by another man.

The second incident occurred about 8.50pm on Loftus Crescent, Homebush, when a 23-year-old woman was walking along the footpath.

A man ran up behind her and snatched her handbag before getting into a black SUV and driving away.

Neither of the women involved was hurt during the incidents, and on each occasion a similar description of a man has been given.

He has been described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall and wearing a back hooded jumper and long pants.
