Domino’s stores across New South Wales have introduced a cool change to the quick service restaurant scene with the introduction of thickshakes to its menu, which are available for home delivery providing customers a convenient, sweet treat delivered straight to their door.
Domino’s stores in New South Wales are expecting to reap the benefits of the new menu item as the company aims to target 10 percent of the $700 million thickshakes and smoothies market.
Multi-unit franchisee Zane Zappacosta, who owns six stores across Sydney, said he was excited to launch thickshakes in New South Wales.
“I can’t wait to introduce our customers to this delicious new product, and the best part is they will be able to get it delivered quickly and conveniently,” said Zane.
“All feedback we’ve received from other markets is that these tasty new thickshakes are fast becoming customer favourites and we are keen to offer these to our loyal customers.
“Domino’s invests in finding the best product ingredients and serving type, for example the new thickshake and ice cream range is cooled to -14 degrees meaning our customers get a nice cold drink that stays cool during delivery.
“Our customers will enjoy the quality of the real ice cream, rather than soft serve, which is used by our competitors, and they love our Chocolate Malt and Malted Vanilla flavours.”
The addition of thickshakes to Domino’s menu comes as the company revamps its menu with the introduction of the ‘Taste the Colour’ range – the biggest menu change since 2009.
The addition of an alternative snacking option such as thickshakes provides Domino’s customers with more options and the success of the roll out is proving the brand is ‘More Than Just Pizza’.
Domino’s Pizza Enterprises was Australia’s first publicly listed pizza company and is the master franchisor for the Domino’s brand in Australia, New Zealand, France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Japan and Germany.
Across these seven markets, DPE and its franchisees operate over 2,000 stores.
