The Tank Stream Hotel, Sydney is a new four-star property on the corner of Pitt and Hunter streets. It’s the first hotel in Australia for the St Giles Hotel group and is named after the freshwater stream that provided water to Sydney’s early colonial settlers. The 280-room hotel offers hypoallergenic pillows and quilts, and an all-inclusive rate that includes mini-bar, Wi-Fi with in-room router, movies on demand, Nespresso machines and T2 teas in all rooms. Australia’s first state-of-the-art indoor skydive centre, iFLY Downunder, is located at Penrith in Western Sydney. It offers one of the world’s largest vertical wind tunnels where a giant glass tube with a massive wind generator lifts each participant effortlessly into flight on a cushion of air. Master the flying skills of a skydiver in a controlled, safe environment. iFLY Intro is a 1.5-hour package that includes two flights, one-to-one instruction, a comprehensive pre-flight briefing and all gear. Each flight offers the equivalent experience of a freefall skydive from 4,270 metres.
Visitors to Barangaroo Reserve, Sydney’s new headland park, can now connect with the world’s oldest living culture through the Barangaroo Aboriginal Cultural Tour Program. Developed by renowned educator Clarence Slockee, who leads a team of five Aboriginal Visitor Services Guides, the 1.5-hour guided tours provide an in-depth explanation of the Indigenous history of Sydney Harbour and surrounds, the cultural significance of this site, and the various flora and fauna within the park.
